Key Rules and Tips for Using Big E-Z Books – Desktop Version
Here’s a list of key rules and tips for using Big E-Z Books:
- Do not move any Big E-Z files. Don’t rename or delete any tabs or files of Big E-Z Books
- Enter your transactions in the blank/white cells throughout the system
- Your entries save automatically when entered
- Use Copy and Paste to move data from one cell to another
- Do not use the Cut command
- To clear contents of a cell, click the cell and use the Backspace button
- The shaded cells are locked and cannot be modified
- Backup your files weekly by clicking Workbook List, right-click the workbook Name, and choose Create Backup
- Use your Ctrl-right arrow buttons to quickly scroll right
- Use your Ctrl-Home buttons to quickly get to the top of any sheet
- Comment cells have red flags located throughout the system with detailed instructions
- Reports will print up to the first blank row in column B on the Deposits, Checks, and Cash&Charges, so make sure you have some characters entered in column B or the Bank Balance will not compute
- Do not delete the Sample Company workbook as you may want to refer to it in the future
