Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to products and services offered by Big E-Z Bookkeeping Co. (“Big E-Z,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including Big E-Z Books+, Big E-Z Books – Desktop Version, and Big E-Z Bookkeeping Paper Products.

By purchasing a Big E-Z product or service, you agree to the terms of this Policy and, where applicable, the applicable End User License Agreement (“EULA”) or other terms provided with your purchase.

1. Big E-Z Books+ Subscription

Big E-Z Books+ is provided on a subscription basis. Your subscription term, billing frequency, and applicable subscription price will be displayed at the time you purchase your subscription.

Depending on the subscription offered, you may select a monthly or annual billing period.

Your subscription provides access to Big E-Z Books+ during the paid subscription period, subject to the applicable EULA and this Policy.

Automatic Renewal

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, your Big E-Z Books+ subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription term.

Before purchasing, you will be shown the applicable subscription price and billing frequency. You authorize Big E-Z or our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the applicable renewal amount when your subscription renews.

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time before your next renewal date.

Cancellation of automatic renewal will prevent future subscription charges but will not automatically terminate access before the end of your current paid subscription period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Big E-Z Books+ subscription by using the cancellation method provided through your account or by contacting Big E-Z Bookkeeping Co.

When you cancel, your subscription will remain active through the end of the period for which you have already paid, unless otherwise stated by Big E-Z.

Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund of amounts previously paid.

Refunds

Big E-Z Books+ subscription payments are generally non-refundable.
Because Big E-Z Books+ is a subscription software service that provides access to the application and its features during the subscription period, we do not generally provide refunds, credits, or prorated refunds for unused time after a subscription payment has been processed.

This includes situations where you:

● Decide that you no longer want to use Big E-Z Books+;
● Do not use the software during part or all of your subscription period;
● Cancel your subscription after a renewal payment has been processed;
● Change your mind after purchasing a subscription; or
● Fail to cancel before the next scheduled renewal.

Canceling your subscription stops future renewals but does not reverse a payment that has already been processed.

Exceptions

Although refunds are generally not provided, Big E-Z may issue a refund or credit at its discretion in limited circumstances, including:

● A duplicate subscription charge;
● A billing error caused by Big E-Z or our payment processor;
● An unauthorized charge that is verified by Big E-Z;
● A significant technical issue caused by Big E-Z that prevents you from accessing Big E-Z Books+ for a significant portion of your paid subscription period; or
● Other circumstances where Big E-Z determines that a refund is appropriate.

Any refund provided as an exception does not create an obligation to provide refunds in similar circumstances in the future.

2. Big E-Z Books – Desktop Version

Big E-Z Books – Desktop Version is downloadable software licensed for use on the applicable device or devices according to the terms provided with the software.

15-Day Trial

We offer a 15-day trial of the Big E-Z Books – Desktop Version so you can evaluate the software before purchasing a license.

The trial period is intended to give you an opportunity to determine whether the software meets your needs before purchasing.

Software License Purchases

There are no refunds for downloaded software license keys after purchase.

Because a downloaded software license key provides access to the licensed software, all purchases of downloaded license keys are final once the license key has been delivered or downloaded.

We strongly encourage customers to take advantage of the 15-day trial before purchasing a license.

If you experience a problem with your license key or have a technical issue that prevents you from activating or using the software as intended, please contact Big E-Z Bookkeeping Co. so we can work with you to resolve the issue.

3. Big E-Z Bookkeeping Paper Products

Big E-Z Bookkeeping Co. offers physical bookkeeping products, including our paper ledger system and storage books.

All sales of Big E-Z Bookkeeping paper products are final and non-refundable.

Paper products are not refundable because of customer preference, change of mind, ordering the wrong product, or failure to use the product.

Paper products include, but are not limited to:

● Big E-Z paper ledger systems;
● Big E-Z storage books

If you receive a product that is damaged or defective when delivered, please contact us promptly so we can review the issue and determine whether a replacement or other resolution is appropriate.

4. Promotional Pricing and Discounts

Promotional pricing, introductory pricing, discounts, special offers, and other promotions are subject to the terms disclosed at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable promotion, promotional pricing does not change the refund or cancellation terms contained in this Policy.

If a promotional subscription automatically renews at the regular subscription price, the renewal price will be disclosed at the time of purchase.

5. Changes to Subscription Pricing

Big E-Z may change Big E-Z Books+ subscription prices from time to time.

If the price of your subscription will increase upon renewal, we will provide notice as required by applicable law and will provide any additional information or cancellation opportunity required by applicable law.

Your continued subscription after the applicable renewal date constitutes acceptance of the new subscription price where permitted by law.

6. Failed Payments

If a Big E-Z Books+ subscription payment cannot be processed, Big E-Z may attempt to process the payment again or request an updated payment method.

If payment remains unpaid, Big E-Z may suspend or terminate access to Big E-Z Books+ in accordance with the applicable EULA.

You remain responsible for subscription charges properly incurred before cancellation or termination.

7. Accounting Data After Big E-Z Books+ Cancellation

Canceling your Big E-Z Books+ subscription does not mean that your accounting records are immediately deleted.

The handling, retention, export, and deletion of your accounting data following cancellation or termination are governed by the applicable Big E-Z Books+ EULA and any applicable law.

We recommend that you consult your tax professional or tax attorney regarding record retention requirements that apply to your business before closing your account.

You are responsible for maintaining copies of your business and accounting records as appropriate for your tax, legal, and business requirements.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company, we encourage you to contact Big E-Z so that we can review the charge and attempt to resolve the issue.

Submitting a chargeback does not eliminate any legitimate payment obligations under your subscription agreement or purchase terms.

Big E-Z reserves the right to provide the payment processor or financial institution with information necessary to respond to a disputed transaction.

9. Refund Requests

For products or services that may qualify for a refund or other resolution under this Policy, contact Big E-Z Bookkeeping Co. using the contact information below.

Please provide the email address associated with your purchase and information about the transaction or product in question.

Refund requests will be reviewed individually when they fall within one of the exceptions described in this Policy.

Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction. Processing times may vary depending on the payment processor and financial institution.

10. No Waiver of Legal Rights

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable federal or state law.

If applicable law requires Big E-Z to provide a refund, cancellation period, notice, replacement, or other consumer protection, those requirements will apply regardless of the provisions of this Policy.

11. Relationship to the EULA

This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the applicable Big E-Z Books+ End User License Agreement where applicable.

If there is a conflict between this Policy and the EULA regarding subscription cancellation or refunds, the provisions of this Policy will control specifically with respect to subscription cancellation and refunds, unless the EULA expressly states otherwise.
