Uncategorized means a transaction has not been assigned to a category yet. Big E-Z Books+ helps you find these transactions so you can review them and finish categorizing your books.

If one transaction needs to be divided between two or more categories, you can use the split feature. For example, if one purchase includes both office supplies and advertising, you can split the transaction between those categories.

A Trial Balance shows the balances in your accounts and helps verify that your debits and credits are equal. It is one of the reports that helps confirm your books are in balance.

I recommend doing your bookkeeping at least weekly or every other week. Staying caught up makes month-end much easier and helps you spot problems before they become bigger problems. Big E-Z Books+ also includes a Month-End Checklist to help you stay on track.
