You finally have a minute to breathe.
Maybe things have slowed down a little — fewer calls, fewer projects, a little more space in your calendar. That’s not a problem. That’s actually an opportunity.
Because the stuff you’ve been putting off? Now’s the time.
Here’s what to tackle while business is quiet:
Catch up on uncategorized transactions. You know the ones. They’ve been sitting there since April. Spend 20 minutes and clean them up.
Reconcile your accounts. If your books don’t match your bank statement, you don’t actually know where you stand. Get that cleaned up through June and you’re officially halfway home — and when tax time rolls around, you’ll thank yourself. (Psst — check out our Tax Time Made E-Z course if you want to get even more ahead of it.)
Check in on what you’re owed. Pull up your outstanding invoices. Any that are 60+ days old? Time to follow up — politely but clearly.
Look at your spending. What did you spend money on in the first half of the year that you got zero return on? Make a note. Don’t repeat it in Q3.
You don’t need to overhaul everything. Even knocking out one or two of these puts you in a better spot heading into fall.
And if it all feels like too much to tackle alone — that’s literally what we do.
